Are we not friends, or are you just being an asshole?

There have been moments when you really were there for me. But then there were times when cold looks and disinterested one-syllable replies were all I got.

I know you weren’t feeling well. And maybe this makes me crazy or possessive. But if you had the energy to make small friendly banter with people who, I dare say, you aren’t extremely good friends with, was a friendly nod really too much to ask for?

I know I’m hyper-sensitive and desperate for affection. I also know I try way too hard. I’m not asking you to reciprocate, but the least you could offer was a friendly acknowledgement, or any outward display of goodwill, really. Even a simple goodbye would have stopped me from typing this pathetic crap.

Just don’t… brush me off.
